Jordan-Higgins and Crenan both make the cut in nationals quests

0564751_2_cropped.jpgROYAL Jersey golfers Sam Crenan and Olivia Jordan-Higgins both qualified for the final 36 holes of their respective National tournaments yesterday.

Crenan (pictured) qualified for the final stages of the under-18s’ Carris Trophy, being played at Wallasey, after finishing joint 19th after a four-over-par round of 74 giving him a three-over score for the first 36 holes.

Jordan-Higgins, playing in the senior English Strokeplay Championship at The Berkshire Golf Club in Berkshire, returned a four-over-par 76 to place joint ninth.

The Royal Jersey ladies’ champion is 11 shots off the leader, Royal Birkdale’s Florentyna Parker who has returned scores of 69 and 68, after scores of 72 and 76.
