Child abuse experts fly in with advice for Jersey

THREE UK experts are flying into Jersey to discuss how the Island should deal with the historical child abuse crisis.

The Jersey Care Leavers’ Association are holding a public meeting at Fort Regent today and are encouraging all Islanders to attend.

Liz Davies, a senior lecturer at London Metropolitan University, will speak at the two-hour meeting.

She exposed the child abuse scandal in Islington in the 90s and has written widely on the subject of protecting children.

The meeting starts at 12.30 pm at the Don Theatre, Fort Regent.
