TWO goals apiece from John Beatson and Aidan Pepper helped Trinity into the quarter-finals of the Charity Cup last night.
The parish club defeated fellow Premiership outfit Rozel Rovers 5-0 to book another home match, next Tuesday evening, against First Tower United. Trinity’s other goal last night was netted by Dave Le Roux.
Tower, who only won one match all of last season, returned 3-0 victors from St Martin/SCF where John Le Cappelain and Aaron Vetier scored in the first half and Kieran Lester late on with the goal of the game after cutting in from the right before beating the Saints’ goalkeeper on his near post.
St Ouen won 4-1 against Beeches Old Boys in a preliminary round match to set up first round game against Grouville at Les Quennevais on Monday. On target for the Saints were Martyn Sansom (two), Scott Samson and Danny Craven.
