FROM next month students will no longer have to leave the Island to gain a professional diploma in marketing.
The course is being introduced at the Jersey Business School, Highlands College, by Guernsey’s GTA University Centre with the support of the Jersey branch of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
The part-time course, which takes around nine months to complete, will be taught by CIM tutors at the JBS through weekday study sessions.
It is open to anyone holding a CIM professional certificate in marketing, a degree from a CIM-approved university, or with three years’ experience in the industry.
The course covers four key areas of marketing – planning, research and information, communication, and management in practice – and along with 12 days of tuition, students will complete three work-based assignments along with a final integrated project.

I’ve been studying this course since the beginning of the year, without leaving the island, it’s not new news!
