A SENIOR police officer has been suspended on full pay in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a female colleague on board a boat.
Yesterday the JEP revealed that a senior police
officer and his wife had been arrested and questioned after a woman claimed that she was seriously sexually assaulted.
This morning the States police confirmed that a police officer had been suspended but refused to reveal the officer’s rank, age or sex.
Officers from the UK have been called in to investigate the allegations. Police are now carrying out an internal inquiry concerning two members of staff.
Police have refused to make any further comment.
