JERSEY’S youngest sand racers will be battling for crucial championship points at the penultimate meet of the season this Saturday.
Lucy Jackson (6), Daniel Hillion (8) and Adam Godwin (6) are each hoping to take the automatic 50cc class, as Connor Hamon and Jamie Howarth fight for the 65cc (7 to 10 years) title.
Ryan Caurel (11) needs only to complete the final two meetings to ensure first place in the 85cc (9 to 15 years) championship, although the real battle will be for second, third and fourth spot between Joshua Hamon, Jayson Baudains and Zac Hannaford.
In the adult events veteran Dennis Le Breton continues to thrill over the jumps, with some close riding against Bruce Dingle, Micky Bertram and Lee Le Feuvre.
Simon Bradbury and Gary Denton have also put in some commanding performances this year, and the mix is likely to produce some nail-biting competition this weekend.
Saturday’s Millbrook meeting will also see the return of Jamie Griffiths on his new Jawa 500cc, laying down stiff opposition for Kevin Bishop and his son Joe – who won in 2006 and 2007 respectively.
