More netball coaches needed – Binns

00590878_cropped.jpgMORE coaches are needed to develop netball in the south west region – and Jersey is no exception, says current England international netballer Jo Binns.

The newly-appointed south west regional talent coach says the passion and pride that is evident in Jersey netball can only be maintained and improved upon with quality coaching staff, who have been mentored to provide the highest possible standard of training.

She said: ‘There are always things that can be done to improve the standard of the game, and what needs to be done depends on what suits each area. Jersey has its own needs because it is a small Island, and players may have to do a lot of travelling.

‘However, there is a huge need for coaches all over the region, and I can definitely see that in Jersey. Ideally what we need to do is give young players and coaches that opportunity so that we have good quality coaches coming through in the long-term.
