Muzzle loaders win gold medals

ag_cropped.jpgJERSEY muzzle loading hot shots Gareth Callan and Adrian Le Brocq returned from the British short range championships laden with medals – three golds apiece and nine in total.

Current world champion Callan continued his superb run of form by taking gold in the Brown Bess original and Worsley Cup musket competitions as well as silver in the Courtney and bronze in the patched ball event.

The only competition where the Jersey pair competed against each other was in the tricky Bell Repro military rifle discipline, with Callan lifting his third gold medal while Le Brocq claimed bronze.

Le Brocq retained his titles in both the Military and Free Rifle aggregates, improving his scores in doing so.
Le Brocq then shot superbly to win his third gold medal in the 50 metre Off Hand Double Rifle. Both shooters are sponsored by Tower Carpets and Flooring.
