AN updated version of the Guidelines for Jersey Directors has been launched.
The book, which was first published in 1994 and was last updated in 2003, provides a comprehensive summary of the duties and responsibilities of a director.
Commissioned by the Institute of Directors, the guide has been updated by Anthony Dessain and James Campbell, who are both advocates for the Bedell Group.
Mr Dessain said that the main purpose of the guide was to raise the standards of corporate governance of all directors, maximise shareholders profits, ensure fair director remuneration, minimise credit losses and enhance the reputation of Jersey.
