JERSEY’S touch players set their inter-island rivalries apart this weekend to share the honours with Guernsey at the Channel Islands Stock Exchange Touch Club Championship.

Held on Sarnian soil this weekend, the tournament featured six mixed, four men’s and four ladies’ teams, including Jersey’s Galaxy and Carey Olsen II teams.

The ladies’ competition was eventually won by GPG Women’s Touch team, which included some players from Jersey’s CO², while the Galaxy ladies joined up with Guernsey’s CISX Anzacs, who won the men’s competition, to win the mixed tournament.

But it was two Jersey players, Lauren Thérin and Nick Guy, who were recognised as the most valuable players throughout the competition.
