THE cutting of a ‘prom cake’ signalled the end of 12 years of compulsory education for students in Year 11 at Grainville School.
Around 150 teenagers attended the secondary school’s annual prom on Friday night (26 JUN) at the Radisson Hotel.
The event – which was the largest attended prom in the school’s history – included a drinks reception and a buffet meal.
Students arrived for the evening in an array of unusual vehicles and music was provided by staff member Kevin Pallot and Paul Bisson from The Dirty Aces.
Commenting on the event, head teacher David Cahill said: ‘The prom has become a wonderful way to mark the passage of our students onto the next stage of their journey. They leave us with many happy memories, our very best wishes for their future, and every hope that they will remember that they remain part of the Grainville community.’
