A DOOR fell off a Condor Ferries boat while it was sailing between Jersey and St Malo on Friday.
However, Condor have assured travellers that the Condor 10 vessel is safe and that the loss of the door posed no danger to the safety of passengers or the ship.
A temporary repair has been made to the door, which is in place to protect safety equipment from exposure to the elements, and the boat continued its normal service over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Simon Edsall, managing director of Condor Ferries, said: ‘The safety of our passengers and crew is our number one priority,’ he said. ‘We would like to reassure everyone that this minor incident will not affect the safety of passengers travelling on our services.’
