Calendar man: Matt Banahan caught on camera by Neill Menneer for the Rugby Bath charity calendar

ISLANDER and England rugby star Matt Banahan has given his female fans a bit of a treat.

The 22-year-old former Les Quennevais School boy – who is due to play his first full international at Twickenham on Saturday against Australia – has stripped off to his pants to reveal the tattooed physique usually only seen in the dressing room.

He is one of several Bath stars who have agreed to appear in a Bath Rugby Club charity calendar to raise money for Orchid, a charity which supports the 37,000 men diagnosed with male-specific cancers in the UK every year.

They have all been photographed in the style of 16th century Baroque sculptures – as created by the likes of Michelangelo and Bernini – by Bath-based photographer Neill Menneer. The 6 ft 7 in winger was today with the England team and unavailable for comment.

The Bath Rugby Club calendar 2010 costs £15 and is available from Bath Rugby shop in Bath or online at www.bathrugbyshop.com.
