OPTIMUS were in dominant form again last night beating Walkovers A by 54 runs to remain unbeaten at the top of Division I in the NatWest Indoor Cricket League.

A trio of good scores, including 29 from Nigel Crocker as well as 27 not out from Jon Prince and an unbeaten 26 from Brant Duncan, lifted Optimus to 127 for 3 in 12 overs.

In reply Walkovers reached 73, thanks largely to Kevin English’s 31 and Andy Bouchard’s 22, while Bradley Vautier ended the match with figures of 2 for 3.

Their closest rivals JJCAI remain in the chase with a three-wicket win over Farmers who were all out for 66 in 10.3 overs, aided by Steven Blackburn’s performance with the ball which left him on two for 25.

Corey Bisson was top scorer for JJCAI on 22 as his side wrapped up the game reaching 67 in ten overs.
