THE Channel Islands are considered very much part of the City even though they are not in London, according to a key figure in the world of finance.
Sir John Stuttard said the Channel Islands represented an important gateway for business into London, and the relationship worked both ways.
Sir John is a former Lord Mayor of the City of London and the current vice-chairman of the advisory board at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
He made his comments when he gave a keynote address at the Mansion House in London to the first Channel Islands International Stock Exchange business summit to be held outside of the islands.

Less of a ‘gateway’ more of a ‘backdoor’..

The usually outspoken John Moulton went very quiet recently when it came out that he had been funding that fake special advisor to the ex Defense secretary Liam Fox and was unwilling to give any comment! Happy to pay for influence and obviate the democratic system via this unbelievable example of lobbying abuse. Not someone the Channel Islands should want to be associated with.

This Island always has been a gateway for the UK City of London. Don’t. Sliver me? Go and have a look at the old HSBC building in Library Place on the left hand side in big concrete letters it states City Of London dated 1940′s canc remember exact.
Google HSBC channel Islands timeline, they proudly announced it in the Jersey Weekly a while back and even go as far as to say they transferred things over to London during the Occupation, yes those times when decent honest families were evacuated from their property and Land when the first load of parasites started robbing us. Many families came back to nothing because it was quite frankly nicked off them from right under their noses yup we are part of the ‘City’ alright…

City maybe, but us locals would prefer it remembered that we are part of the British Isles by choice. Too many mainlanders don’t know their own history. Bring back ‘island’ rule.

Right and what were they meant to do?! Let the Nazi’s take control?! What a silly thing to say.
Anyway if you have a problem with HSBC, google its time line. Its a Hong Kong bank.

Er no Dan HSBC was set up for trade between Europe and China
by a Scotsman…
As for my ‘silly’ comments regarding ‘share transfer’ I am quite sure a lot of locals that were conned might have a different view to yours … and everything dodgy Merchant Banks and Trust Companies fiddled through the loopholes. Nothing’s changed then…
