RECOGNITION that Jersey is a ‘jurisdiction of substance’ will be a key element to ensuring future success in Asia, so says the woman who leads Jersey Finance’s efforts in the Far East.

Zhaoan Li, who is head of Greater China business development at Jersey Finance, said the body believes that the Island’s expertise and reputation for maintaining the highest standards of probity will make it stand out from competitors in the years ahead.

Ms Li was speaking after financial professionals from the Island outlined the effectiveness of trusts and foundations in wealth management planning at a conference in Singapore.

The sell-out STEP Asia conference, entitled ‘Trusts, Families and Business – An Asian Focus’ was held earlier this month.
