A FORMER senior executive sacked for whistleblowing on casino banking at HBOS has praised the Island for its high standards of regulation.
Paul Moore, who lost his job four years before the 2008 banking crisis, was in Jersey last week to give a talk at the Royal Yacht Hotel.
And he said that the Island maintained its position as a premier international finance centre because it focuses very heavily on its reputation and regulation.
‘The better the regulation, the more likely it is that business will be done because you can trust it,’ he said.
