ONE of the Island’s biggest independent trust businesses has created 30 new jobs in the past year and has opened a new office in Singapore as it continues to expand rapidly.

Minerva Trust and Corporate Services said that its overall number of employees had grown by 20% in the last 12 months to stand at 150, of which 120 are based at its offices in La Motte Street.

Apart from Jersey and Singapore, the company also has offices in London, Geneva, Dubai and Mauritius. Minerva said that it decided to open the fiduciary services business in Singapore in response to the evolving needs of clients, particularly those with connections or business interests in India.
