THE Jersey Law Society and the Jersey Institute of Law have recognised the outstanding academic achievement of students studying to become advocates or for their law degrees.

A total of nine prizes were presented at a ceremony at the Société Jersiaise.

Seven were won by those who had scored the highest marks in their Jersey advocacy exams and two by Islanders who achieved first-class marks in the University of London International Programmes LLB.

Students studying for the degree receive their tuition from a flying faculty of UK academics at the Institute, in Seale Street. The advocacy course is also taught at the Institute.
