ISLANDERS who own cars that are left in France are being warned that the French authorities are on the verge of taking action against them.
Deputy Phil Rondel , who was among leading figures who visited Normandy last week, said that some Jersey-registered vehicles could face being seized.
The Deputy said the French authorities are unhappy that cars are left for months in the Normandy region.
He pointed out that any vehicle that stays in France for six months must be registered as a French vehicle.
The owners of vehicles are responsible for paying road tax in the country.
