Grouville

THE Constable, Dan Murphy, is one of three who chose not to seek re-election in the autumn elections

All 12 Constables agreed initially to step down, but only on the basis of having their terms extended to four years.

When the States reversed that decision last year, Mr Murphy and the Constables of St Helier and St John changed their minds.

Mr Murphy was first elected as Constable of Grouville in 2003 to complete the term of office of Frank Amy who retired. HeĀ  was re-elected unopposed in 2004 and re-elected again in July 2007, beating challenger John Le Maistre.
