3.jpgName: Tim Tindall
Age: 35
Place of birth: Jersey
Address: E2, Perquage Court, Rue de Moulin de Tesson, St Lawrence
Family: Married to Julie, son Donovan
Education: Janvrin Road Primary School; d’’Hautrée Secondary School
Occupation: Self-employed businessman administrator for small businesses’ clerical and administration duties
Hobbies/interests: Not much time for hobbies; interests are helping people in the parish and serving the community

Election platform:
I enjoy helping people and I am very fortunate to have a like-minded team in St Lawrence who are dedicated to St Lawrence and give their time willingly. In my mind a Constable needs to be, firstly, approachable which I hope people who know me will agree I am. Understanding to the concerns parishioners have, no matter how great or small. Provide a common sense approach to rectify concerns and be open-minded to new solutions. Compassionate to people’s needs, work to ensure our voice is heard in the States and maintain democratic process.
Ensure parish affairs are administered wisely and strive for an increase in community spirit and introduce more families to the social events held in the parish and increase the number of willing helpers. The young people of today are the adults of tomorrow, I get the feeling sometimes that this is missed and all parish’s struggle to find new blood and the original Jersey ethic is lost. Whether locally-born or not the parish you live in should be a special place where you feel welcomed. In return, like myself, you can help others which is very rewarding. I am here to help St Lawrence.

Proposers: Sue Hardy, Sue Emanuel, Maurice Dubras, Emily Countanche, Frank Brady, Annette Brady, Kevin Francis Booth, Kay Booth, Maureen Clarke, John Pallot.

Nomination spech:
Sue Hardy formally proposed Tim Tindall, who had previously not declared his intention to stand so that he could continue his work as Chef de Police. The meeting heard that Mr Tindall had worked in the finance industry for 20 years, spending seven of those working for Barclays International. He also worked for his family’s insurance business and now runs his own financial management services company.

The proposer said that 35-year-old Mr Tindall was a family man who had the full support of his wife Julie, who is a trademark expert. The parishioners heard that Mr Tindall planned making no major changes – the focus being on just more of the same, with good management being the key. He is a man who recognises that there are issues that need to be addressed, including the need for more sheltered housing. The proposer said that Mr Tindall was a man of ability and enthusiasm who was an ideal person to become the Constable of St Lawrence
