There is now only one commercial cinema in Jersey and a Film Society.
Cineworld is a standard multiplex located at the Waterfront and screens standard multiplex fare for fans of general release blockbusters and the occasional foreign/arthouse film. There is also a lively children’s programme on Saturday mornings.
The Jersey Film Society is run as a members’ club and shows classic, arthouse and short-run Hollywood films at the Jersey Arts Centre in Phillips Street St Helier. Guest membership tickets are available on the door and there are usually one or two films per month during the season.
