There are two cinemas in Jersey, both in St Helier, and a Film Society.
Cineworld is a standard multiplex located at the Waterfront and screens standard multiplex fare for fans of general release blockbusters and the occasional foreign/arthouse film. There is also a lively children’s programme on Saturday mornings.
The New Forum lives in the stylish 1930’s Odeon building on the other side of town and offers a more retro style of cinema going, although often showing the same films as its downtown competitor.
The Jersey Film Society is run as a members club and shows classic, arthouse and short-run hollywood films at the Jersey Arts Centre in Philip Street St Helier. Guest membership tickets are available on the door and there are usually one or two films per month during the season.
