Focus on training in the tourism industry

ISLAND firms involved in the tourism and hospitality industry are invited to a presentation on training next Friday, 6 February, at the De Vere Grand Hotel.

The guest speakers are the head of guest experience at Madame Tussauds in London, Sarra al-Shahire, and David Battersby, chief executive of Hospitality and Leisure Manpower UK (HALM), which manages the Excellence Through People initiative for the British Hospitality Association.

uring the event the Jersey Hospitality Association will present Beinv’nue 2004, an induction programme for tourism employees, and the 2004 programme for the Excellence Through People good employment practice initiative.
