Residential home achieves Investors in People award

PINEWOOD residential home has gained the International Investors in People standard.
The privately owned home, which provides 24-hour care for 47 elderly people, is the first nursing home in Jersey to be accredited.
Staff were presented with the IIP plaque last week by the president of the Economic Development Committee, Deputy Gerald Voisin.
ead of home Eileen Crabb said: ‘We already had many of the necessary policies and procedures in place, but in reaching the Investor in People standard we have become a more structured and focused organisation.
‘Our staff have become more motivated as well, and there is an increased emphasis on teamwork, with everybody being given the opportunity to develop.
