Parents asked to help stop vandalism

PARENTS need to take a tougher and more responsible line with the petty vandals who are making the lives of St Brelade’s residents a misery, a Deputy has warned.

St Brelade Deputy Peter Troy says parents need to be aware of where their children are and impress upon them the menace of nuisance behaviour.’Elderly residents of Clos des Sables and Quennevais Park have contacted me regarding the noise disturbance, the throwing of eggs and other missiles at windows and cars,’ he added.

‘The Railway Walk near Les Quennevais School and the sports centre has been identified as a general trouble spot.’Centenier Geoff Cornwall, of the parish’s honorary police, said that there had been an increase in activity, with many youths coming in from outside the parish recently on Friday and Saturday nights.
