Crisis time in States?

THE States will debate an unprecedented double assault on two committees at their next sitting amid fears of the entire governmental system descending into chaos.
Votes of no confidence have been lodged in Environment and Public Services and Housing, while a similar motion is still possible against Home Affairs.With yesterday’s resignation by Senator Christopher Lakeman – the man in charge of steering through the switch to ministerial government – the Island’s government is in a state of disarray.And it could not be happening at a worse time, with the States gearing up for one of the most important periods in modern political history.
