Football:Scottish quartet recalled

JERSEY’S starting line-up against the RAF a week on Saturday at Springfield will have at least two changes from the team that drew with Sussex last Saturday.

Island manager Dave Matthews will be without striker Ross Crick and defender James Fortune for his final South West Counties Championship match of the season as the duo are out of the Island on the day of the game.Matthews’ squad is boosted by the return of defenders Gordon Brodie and Craig Ferey and midfielder Ged McConnell.The Scottish trio all missed the Sussex match because of injuries while Scots team-mate Charlie Smith is also back in contention for a midfield r๚le following his serving of a seven-day suspension.The full squad is: Jimmy Styles, Chris Hamon, Chris Andrews (all Jersey Wanderers); Casey Hickling, Chris Carter (First Tower); Chris McNabb, Gordon Brodie, Craig Ferey, Dave Brodie, Ged McConnell, Charlie Smith (Jersey Scottish); James Hayward, Jimmy Reilly, Dave Le Roux (Trinity) and Lee Bradshaw and John Beatson (St Paul’s).
