Former Constable is elected Jurat

FORMER Constable of St Clement Stan Le Cornu was elected Jurat in the Royal Court this morning in a three-cornered contest for the post.
He won 50 of the 121 votes from the members of the Electoral College who took part.Former chartered accountant and current chairman of the Jersey branch of the Samaritans and Family Nursing and Home Care Peter Morgan received 44 votes, and former RAF and commercial airline pilot Ted Nance gained 27 votes.Mr Le Cornu (61) was proposed by former Deputy Ken Syvret and seconded by Senator Wendy Kinnard.
