Police step up patrols at Les Quennevais

MORE honorary and States police officers will be on the beat at Les Quennevais at weekends from now on.
The move follows 30 reports of malicious damage, ten break-ins and 13 reports of stolen vehicles in the past six months.
Golf balls, eggs, water bombs and stones have been thrown at properties, and there have been complaints about graffiti.P insp Sara Garwood said that most of the incidents happened on a Friday.This weekend more than 15 police officers targeted Les Quennevais and found the area to be ‘unusually quiet’.
No arrests were made, but one 14-year-old girl was found with alcohol, which she claimed was given to her by her parents, and several others were escorted home.
