Flying start for JEP Birdwatch
Tuesday 10th February 2004, 12:00AM GMT.
TWO HUNDRED forms have been received in the past two days after the weekend’s Jersey Evening Post Great Garden Birdwatch.
This year schools were invited to take part on Friday morning and responses have been received from both St John and Mont Nicolle schools.Although the process of collating the data has only just begun, if early indications are anything to go by, the house sparrow has lost its place as the most common garden bird in Jersey to the chaffinch – but it is too soon to declare this with certainty.Jersey Evening Post Great Garden Birdwatch forms are available o this website.
