Guernsey pull plug on Flybe cheap flights

GUERNSEY’S government has stopped Jersey residents from buying cheap inter-island flights.

Airline Flybe has been forced to stop selling inter-island air seats after Guernsey ruled the airline was acting illegally.And a clash between the islands’ governments looks certain as the Jersey authorities are fully behind Flybe and are seeking urgent talks with their Sarnian counterparts.

The Jersey authorities may take legal action to overhaul the decision that flies in the face of free competition.The Guernsey authorities have also been accused of protecting the interests of state-owned airline Aurigny in declaring Flybe to be acting illegally.
