Housing face no-confidence vote

HOUSING Committee president Deputy Terry Le Main faces a vote of no confidence in the House today.

Deputy Geoff Southern – a long-term critic of the Housing Committee’s policies – has bought a motion of no confidence in the committee led by Deputy Le Main.

The motion has been brought in relation to recent allegations of misuse of personal data by Deputy Le Main.The subject of the motion led Senator Stuart Syvret to call for the debate to be held in confidence, as he felt it was unacceptable for a States tenants private details to be aired in public.And this morning, the Housing president faced a barrage of questions from States Members during Question Time.
