Highlands ranks among the best

HIGHLANDS College has been ranked in the top ten per cent of colleges in the British Isles.
The completion of a two-year rolling inspection has rated the college outstanding or excellent in the majority of its courses.Over the course of two years from autumn 2002 nearly 200 classroom, workshop and tutorial sessions involving over 1,800 students and covering curriculum areas from adult and community education to art, construction and hospitality have been visited and graded by assessors.In their final report on the college the inspectors graded 73 per cent of classes as good or better in comparison with an English average of 62 per cent.
