Table tennis: Ellis, Vincent and Butler lift the title

CCC A beat two-man CCC B 6-4 to win the Jersey League Division I title and maintain their unbeaten record.
Eugene Ellis beat Trevor Lefèbvre 3-1 and Paul Marshall 3-0.
Dave Butler beat Lefèbvre in the fifth game but lost 3-1 to Marshall.
Bobby Vincent lost 3-2 to Lefèbvre and lost 3-1 to Marshall.However, for the B team, Lefèbvre and Marshall beat Butler and Ellis 3-1 in the doubles.
The three singles points lost by CCC B playing a man short gave CCC A the victory.Pegasus stay in second place with a 6-4 win over St Joseph A.
Bruce Gallichan beat Andy Ricou 3-0 and Colin Marriott 11-9 in the fifth game, but lost 3-0 to Tom Quinn.Clive Hansford beat Ricou and Quinn but lost 11-9 in the fifth game to Marriott after being 2-0 up.
Barry Wykes beat Ricou and Marriott 13-11 in the fifth but lost 3-2 to Quinn.
Gallichan and Hansford lost the doubles to Marriott and Quinn in three close games.CCC C beat St Joseph B 6-4, for their first win of the season and move off the foot of the table.
Tomasz Stochel beat Mark Brockbank and Stephanie Marriott both 3-1 and Barry Vibert 12-10 in the fifth game.
Andrew Gallichan beat Brockbank 3-2 and Marriott 3-1 but lost 3-1 to Vibert.
Kay Lefebvre had the vital extra win, beating Marriott 3-0.
Brockbank and Marriott beat Gallichan and Stochel 14 -12 in the fifth game in the doubles.In Division II St Mary beat St Joseph B 7-3, but the outstanding performance came from Michael Brockbank, who beat Darren Le Brun and Fred Coote 3-0 and Ken Le Brun 3-1.
Younger brother Ryan took a game from Darren Le Brun and Coote, but Zoë Quinn didn’t win a game and the Le Bruns won the doubles 3-0.Victoria B had a good 8-2 win over Victoria A.
Charles Le Sueur won his three matches, the closest being a 3-2 win over Rex Cardy.
David Hole also won his three, with two fifth game wins over Cardy and Le Quesne.
John Vibert had 3-1 wins over Tim Jones and Le Quesne but lost 3-0 to Cardy.
Cardy and Jones beat Le Sueur and Hole 17-15 in the fifth game of the doubles.St Joseph A beat CCC A 6-4 to move into second place.
Trevor Motto beat Craig Roberts and Mick Davy but lost to Paul Moisan.
Simon Brindle beat Moisan and Roberts but lost 3-2 to Mick Davy.
Jack Hanby lost 3-1 to both Moisan and Davy but beat Roberts by the same score.
Motto and Brindle beat Moisan and Davy 3-2 in the doubles.St Joseph D beat St Joseph C 6-4 to move off the foot of the table.
For the C team, Dawn Buckley won her three games, the closest a 3-2 win against Richard Marriott.
However, Harry Cooper and Dennis Hansford lost all their matches.
Cooper won a game against Marriott and Matthew Robin.
Buckley and Cooper won the doubles 13-11 in the fifth game.In Division III St Joseph A beat their B team 10-0, with Josh Band and Chris Corfield each losing a game to Sam Motto and Natasha Marriott one to Matthew Cooper.
All beat Sarah Cooper 3-0 and Band and Corfield beat Cooper and Motto 3-0 in the doubles.
St Mary A beat CCC B 8-2, with Jeanne Le Brun unbeaten, including an 11-9 fifth game win against Sue Monet.
Monet beat Fred Coote 3-0 and Gerry Cartwright 3-2.
All the St Mary players beat Rachel Motto and Gordon Bullock 3-0.
Le Brun and Cartwright beat Monet and Bullock 3-0 in the doubles.Victoria beat St Mary C 9-1, with Vic Roberts’ 12-10 fifth game win against Joe Thompson the only success for St Mary.
Roberts took both Adi Mukherjee and Richard Parker to a fifth game.Anne Coote also took Thompson to a fifth game and took a game from Parker.
Reserve Sam Willcocks didn’t win a game although he went close against Thompson.Thompson and Parker beat Roberts and Coote 3-0 in the doubles.CCC A beat St Mary B 7-3 with Craig Roberts losing just one game to Brian Nicolle.
Emma Crespel also won her three matches although she was taken to a fifth game by David Deffains.
John O’Brien beat Nicolle 3-1 but lost 13-11 in the fifth game to Brian Chilvers and 3-0 to Deffains.
Deffains and Chilvers beat Crespel and Roberts 3-1 in the doubles.In Division IV CCC A beat St Joseph A 4-1, with Richard Stilwell beating Stephen and George Dupays 3-1.
Peter Rothwell beat George 3-1 but lost 3-2 to Stephen.
Rothwell and Stilwell beat the Dupays 3-0 in the doubles.CCC C continued their good form with a 4-1 win over Victoria A.
Luke Walker lost one game to Nick Wojciechowski while Philip McVay beat Nick 3-2 and lost 3-2 to Paul.
Walker and McVay won the doubles 3-2, coming back from being 2-0 down.CCC B beat Victoria B 5-0.
Max Tupper beat both Alex Sunier and Jonny Amy 3-0, while Sam Elliott won both his games 3-1.
Tupper and Elliott won the doubles 3-1.St Joseph B beat one-man CCC D 4-1.
Matthew Fielding beat Natalie Fosse 3-2 in five close games but lost 3-1 to Scott Cassin and was let down by the lack of a partner.
In Division V Victoria B beat one man CCC B 3-2, despite Glen Brown beating Joe Houze 12-10 in the fifth game and Simeon Entwistle 3-1.St Joseph C had their first win with a 3-2 defeat of St Joseph A.
In the singles everyone had one win.
For the C team, Jordan Hebert beat Anthony Marriott 3-2 but lost 3-2 to Sarah Cooper.
Tom Brockwell beat Cooper 3-0 but lost 3-0 to Marriott.
Hebert and Brockwell won the doubles 3-1.Victoria A beat CCC A 5-0, with Ian Hickling not dropping a game.
Jonny Hickling beat Patrick Casey 3-0 and Tom Wilson 3-2.
The Hicklings won the doubles 3-2.Victoria C beat St Joseph B 5-0 with Christy Fox and Anthony Apap not dropping a game in their singles or doubles against Jack Clackett and Kimberley Marriott.
