Teen asthma: Shock figures

JERSEY has the world’s second highest rate of asthma among young teenage children, according to a new report.
The Island is featured in a league table released this week in Bangkok by the Global Initiative for Asthma, which focuses on children aged between 13 and 14.Scotland tops the league with 37 per cent of children of that age having shown symptoms of asthma during the past 12 months.Jersey is close behind with 36 per cent and Guernsey third with 35 per cent.
