Names go into hat for Public Services

THE building of a hotel on a green field site would be encouraged by Senator Philip Ozouf if he were elected as president of Environment and Public Services.
At last night’s tax meeting Senator Ozouf said that he would support applications to build a hotel on a green field site to encourage economic growth.He is likely to be a candidate for the presidency of the Environment Committee, which was left vacant by the resignation of Deputy Maurice Dubras over the bus contract saga earlier this week.At least two other States Members will contest the presidency of the Environment Committee.
Deputies Rob Duhamel and Gerard Baudains have confirmed that they will stand for the position and former vice-president Deputy Jackie Hilton says she is seriously considering running for it.
