Police increase waterfront patrols

GANGS of youths who cause trouble at the waterfront are being told: ‘You’re not above the law.’
The States police issued the warning today and announced patrols would be stepped up to combat a growing menace in the area.They are responding to increasing complaints of anti-social behaviour by gangs of teenagers and say they will arrest and prosecute offenders.During the past few weeks, there have been reports of youths throwing bottles at, and damaging, boats in the Marina, youths blocking roads and stopping cars getting past, vandalism, intimidation and graffiti.
