Emergency call boycott

FIRE and ambulance crews will not respond to emergency calls to ships at sea in protest at States cuts in insurance payouts.
The emergency services, including the States police, are all annoyed that the level of cover for all States workers was reduced to save under £40,000 in premiums without any consultation.Payout cover has been reduced from ten to seven times annual earnings in the event of loss of life or serious injury.And there is disagreement between politicians responsible for the emergency services and the States Treasurer over the issue.
