Man dies in fall

A MAN died after falling from a town centre rooftop on Friday afternoon.

Joaquim Carlos Lopes (32) fell 20 ft from the roof of Trinity House in Bath Street on to another roof below.

He suffered multiple injuries and died later that evening at the General Hospital.

The incident is now the subject of an investigation by health and safety officers and States police.
