THROWER Jamie Stevenson struck gold again at the weekend, competing in the Scottish National championships in Edinburgh, and is now ranked number one in his age-group after he produced a new British record discus throw of 44.66m.
The 14-year-old Haute Vallée student, competing by virtue of his father’s Scottish heritage, also won the bronze medal in the shot with 13.50m and threw a new personal best of 41.33m in the hammer event.
