Drugs worth £6,000 seized

OVER £6,000 worth of drugs were seized over the weekend in two police operations.
Ecstasy and cannabis were found on Ian MacDonald (39), a bricklayer from Scotland, when he was arrested on Saturday evening in St Helier.
A further £5,000 worth of the cannabis was later discovered at his St Saviour home after police officers conducted a search.
Over the weekend he was charged with possessing ecstasy and possessing and intending to supply cannabis and was due to appear in the Magistrate’s Court this morning.
Also on Saturday, drug squad officers raided a premises in St Helier and seized cannabis worth £1,500.
A woman was arrested but later released pending further investigations.
