Drop-in café is told to move on from square

A DROP-in café that acts as a safe haven for young people in St Helier is desperately looking for new premises.
The Move On café in the Old Harbour Office, situated in Liberation Square, will have to move out when the area is redeveloped as part of the island site improvements.
They have been told that they will have to go in a few months time and could be left homeless.
John Cornwall, who runs the facility, said that he was searching for somewhere else to go, but his hunt has so far been fruitless.
‘We need to be somewhere young people congregate so that we can offer support and advice where it is needed most,’ he said.
