WHAT is likely to be the biggest ever free party for the Island’s senior citizens is being held at Fort Regent on Liberation Day.

Seven hundred guests are being invited to join in an evening full of nostalgia, complete with air-raid sounds and searchlights.

This memorable tribute to those who lived through the war years has been put together by the Age Concern chairman Daphne Minihane and her team.

Financed by Age Concern through fund-raising, the event is for current Jersey residents who were in the Island during the Occupation or were deported.

‘I want this to be a happy, happy night full of memories and laughter,’ she said.
