Red Arrows to head the aerial bill on Liberation Day
Saturday 9th April 2005, 12:00AM BST.
THE Red Arrows will headline this year’s Liberation Day air display.
The RAF’s famous display team, sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers, are cutting short their winter training in Cyprus to join the Island in its 60th anniversary celebrations.
The nine Hawk jets will perform their latest display, which will include some new manoeuvres for 2005, in St Aubin’s Bay at 1.15 pm.
The Red Arrows have a long association with the Island and are understood to be very keen to take part on Liberation Day.
The display team have performed in Jersey 81 times and it is the only place they have performed for every year of their 35-year history.
