A JERSEYWOMAN is on the brink of music super-stardom.
Nerina Pallot has released a single to rave reviews and her second album, Fires, was Radio Two’s Album of the Week.
The single, Everybody’s Gone To War, which has been released on internet download only, was described as ‘scintillating’ by the Guardian and ‘a satire with a savage heart’ by the music webzine funkymofo.com.
It has also been getting plenty of local airplay from Channel 103fm, who are keen to champion the former Jersey College for Girls student.
‘The style is very much along the lines of Avril Lavigne and Natalie Imbruglia,’ said the station’s head of music, Spencer Davies.
‘I fell in love with it instantly and the album is excellent.
We’ve had lots of good feedback from listeners.’
