A CONFIDENT Senator Frank Walker has spelt out to business leaders the evidence of Jersey’s economic upturn.
The Policy and Resources president informed the Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday that there were clear grounds for renewed optimism in the economy.
Addressing an audence of 200 at a Chamber lunch, Senator Walker said: ‘There is real evidence that our policies are working.
There is still much to do, and no grounds for complacency whatsoever.
‘The business community are the engine that provides the power for our economy.
What we must do is provide the right environment – the engine room and tools – with which you can work both efficiently and well, and in which the economy can grow.’ Senator Walker told the audience that his optimism was based on ‘cold, hard facts’.
