Airlines: Call for another regular low-fare service

THERE is no reason why Jersey should not be on the list of top short-break European destinations – but it will need another regular low-cost airline service to do it.
That is the view of former Airtours boss David Crossland, who this week launched his investment offer of a £45m high-rise tourism and residential development on the waterfront.
Gorey resident Mr Crossland believes that if only the Island can get across the perception that it is serviced by low-cost air travel, tourists will flock here once again.
