Battling band meet their nemesis

SIX weeks after Gift Wrapped Fist were thrown out of the Chicago Rock’s Battle of the Bands, another heavy metal band have felt the wrath of the venue’s no-swearing policy.

Another dramatic night at the Battle of the Bands saw metal newcomers Nemesis complete just two songs before having their sound cut and being asked to leave the premises.

They were told that their moshing on stage and language meant that they would be disqualified from the competition, which had its last heat last night.

A spokesperson from Chicago Rock, who organise the event, said: ‘We do not tolerate people using foul language on stage when there are kids around.

Every band knows the score.

They were moshing on stage and swearing on stage and parents complained.’ This is not the first time that Chicago Rock have enforced their strict no-swearing policy.

Gift Wrapped Fist, who appeared in the first heat, were disqualified for using bad language and escorted out of the venue last month.
